Emanuel Swedenborg

(1688–1772)

Beside a mystic, Swedenborg was a Swedish scientist, philosopher, theologian, and revelator. He sketched such inventions as the mercury air pump, flying machine, rapid fire gun, and the submarine war vessel. Used the term "telaesthesia" when referring to his own clairvoyance. He first explained that death of the physical does not result in the immediate change.  Between 1716-1771 he published many publications.
